Paintings > Origami Cranes: Still Life Series

Memory is the brightly coloured bird, the bird closest to the light of life but being harried by his darker companions. He is trying to escape the scene before the others swoop down upon him and smother him with their presence. He wants to be in control of himself and the future but is hounded by past experiences in the form of these ‘companions’, Guilt, Despair and Sorrow.
Sometimes we cannot escape past feelings that we both own and which sometimes own us. The best we can do is to forge onward and try and keep ahead of our ‘companions’.
