Origami Cranes: Still Life Series
A tableau exploring ideas around "childhood". Taken from the classic board game for children, these birds are painted from a vintage version of "Snakes and Ladders". Unfortunately, the little bird on the lower right has no ladders at all, only snakes. Remembering my own childhood, I often wonder how far things are predetermined for us- if at all?
